LA Engineers Week Extravaganza

Volunteers needed for ASCE’s 2nd Annual Engineers Week Extravaganza! ASCE Los Angeles Section YMF is partnering with the City of Los Angeles to host 5 days of outreach activities for local K-12 and University students to celebrate this year’s Engineers Week. We’re expecting over 700 students to participate over the 5 days and many volunteers are needed to make each event a success. Volunteers will be provided with parking (Tues-Fri events only), lunch, a shirt, and some great memories. Please consider joining us in educating and inspiring these students. No prior experience needed.
Tuesday: Elementary School Day, 8:30-3:30, LA City Hall
Wednesday: High School Day, 8:30-3:30, LA City Hall
Thursday: Women in Engineering Day, 8:30-3:30, LA City Hall
Friday: College Day, 7:30-3:30, Dept. of Water and Power

Saturday: 21st Annual High School Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition, 7am-4pm (shifts available), Union Station

Thursday Night – We’d also like to invite you to attend a Professional Night Networking Reception we’re hosting on Thursday Night, 2/26 from 6-9pm at Metabolic Studios, Downtown. Register to attend the Networking Reception here..
